Benjamin Reyes, Jr. was born on August 14, 1985, in Granada Hills, California. He was born to two wonderful parents, Benjamin Reyes, Sr. and Maria Guadalupe Valenzuela. He was known to many by the name BenWalles aka RUKO. He grew up in Van Nuys, California and then in Nogales, Arizona where he went to school and had family and friends at his side always. Later on he moved to Tucson, Arizona where he spent most of his time growing up and learning life lessons.
He was a son, a brother, a father, a husband and a friend who will forever be missed. He sadly passed away far to soon due to heart complications on February 8, 2025 at the age of 39. Ben loved life and lived it the way he wanted, always making sure he made the most of every day. He worked in various places but wherever he was he always worked hard and tried to be successful. He loved to hang out with friends and attend car meets and to cruise up and down both Nogales and Tucson. A foodie through and through this man could grub and loved sharing meals with those he loved. He loved to get tattoos that represented his life and the things and people he loved the most. One of his biggest passions was collaborating with young artists and creating music. King Royalty Studios ENT was his inspiration and his dream. He loved all kinds of music but one of his very favorite songs was Crossroads by Bone Thugs & Harmony; it always held a special place in his heart.
His greatest joy, however, came in the shape of his son, Izaiah Manuel Reyes (17) and his daughter, Arabella M. Reyes Terriquez (4). These two are his pride and joy and the only thing that he ever treasured. He loved being a father and his kids loved him. No matter how far he was from them at times he never let anyone forget that his kids were his life. He also leaves behind his siblings, Marrissa Shaw, Alexander Reyes, and Zariana Salazar. We will always remember him saying “Que Ruko!” to everyone he knew and anyone new he met.
We can all take comfort that Ben will be joining our parents in Heaven and reuniting with his best friend. Hopefully, they are already cruising all over heaven and making some music together again. We know we have lost him far to soon and that there was so much more that he could have done. He, however, is no longer in pain and no longer suffering, which we hope will also bring him much-needed peace. We love you Ben.
